today i went out to take off my wheels and clean them up. inside the wheel there is brake dust and dirt just caked onto the wheel, so i was going to take them off and clean them really good. i get the covers off the lugnuts and as i go to loosen them, i noticed one was different from the rest... each of my wheels has four normal lugnuts and ONE different one. the lug wrench doesn't even fit over it. it's got these weird grooves in it. my digital camera broke a while back, so i can't get pictures to explain it. is this something all f-bodies have or did somebody just want to piss me off when they sold me the car? lol.

It's Probably just a Security Lug nut. You will need the correct socket to remove it. They're installed so that others can't steal your wheels without having that modified socket.

When I bought my bird it was in the glove box.

yeah if its not in the glove boxes, ask the person you got it from, if they are local, or you will haft to go to the dealership and get another one.

that or take a socket.. and beat it on with a hammer.. then take it off..

but.. then you lose a socket..

take it to sears... they will replace it.. tell them it got stuck..

        rofl..

then all you need is a new lugnut or a new set of security lugs..

Find a buddy with a Camaro or Firebird. Use their lug key. My friends TA and my Maro use the same lug key so try that before you go to the dealer.
