"so would the bigger z28 bar not be comparable to an aftermarket rear bar?"

Sure it would. But they're _both_ wrong for an otherwise stock V6 suspension.

A big rear bar is _often_ a bad mod. It's kind of like putting a full race cam, designed for modified heads, intake, and exhaust, on a stock engine. Your engine will be worse than if you used the stock cam. In this case the bar is screwing up your handling, making the rear kick out in turns. It will be much worse in rain or if you have to make an emergency swerve.

Swaybars are very tricky. Changing them can be dangerous, especially if you don't really understand what they do and how they work.

"i guess ill have to change back"

    Yep.

Swaybars are too complicated for easy rules, but....

Springs and bars go together. If you swapped in a V-8 (weight distribution counts too) and V-8 springs, you should go to V-8 bars.

The knowledgeable V-8 guys don't change the rear bar unless they're going to a very stiff road race suspension. GM tried a bigger rear bar in their original 1LE cars, built specifically to win Showroom Stock road races. It didn't work and they went back to stock after only a few cars. Those lemons are still being sold as "1LE" and recommended on the Net. They didn't work on a V-8 in road races, and they will be worse on a V-6 on the street.

A book "Chassis Engineering" by Herb Adams is a good place to start learning how bars work.

If you change bars because somebody on the Internet says "these are good bars" you're taking a big risk. As you found out, bars are powerful (especially the rear). There are a lot of bad bars recommended and sold. You could wind up with downright dangerous handling.

thanks alot for your help man. I am going to try to make my ABS work

My plan is to put in the 4 channel ABS rear axels. Each of these axels has an ABS reluctor ring on it. I will then cut off my 3 Channel connector and splice it into two. This will allow me to put on 4 channel ABS sensors and run one sensor to each wheel now picking up the ABS reclutor ring on the axels instead of inside the differential. I am hoping it works. Theoretically it will. ANyone know any reason that it wont?

Was the reluctor gear installed the correct way? It should go on the same side of the carrier as the ring gear, but with the overhang away from the ring gear.

Your 3-channel ABS should still be working if all you did was change gears and carrier.

I put a 4-channel rear in my car and used the harness that came with the rear. It is 4 wire whereas my 2-channel is only 2 wire. The plugs are the same though, so now my 3-channel ABS is only reading the left rear sensor... but ABS still works.
