• Rear suspension noise...

For about a year now I've had a very annoying rear suspension noise. I have one that gives a loud "clunk" when the surface I drive over drops (of course, there is a big one I go over every day) that was diagnosed as an exhaust hanger.

Now the more serious and annoying one is this: Whenever I go over a speed bump or any change in surface over the rear wheels, I get a noise that I can only describe as it sounds like marbles. If I go slow enough, it sounds like a creeking noise.

Sometimes when I close my rear hatch, I'll hear a "doin-g" noise. So if I press up and down on the rear, it makes a noise like a bed spring.

I don't know guys, I guess my rear suspension is shot to h#ll. I'm taking my car in to get my exhaust put on in about two weeks and they also do suspension. I guess I can ask them to take a look.

No...that sounds more like a tranny problem though.

Pretty much the only time I hear my suspension problems are any changes in the surface or speed bumps. It just really bugs me...

probably the shocks wearing out..but i doubt they are out unless your ride quality is and everytime you hit anything in the road they make noise. how many miles do they have on them?

wheni first got my car, when i would drive over bumps in the road it clunked really loud, at first i thought it was the exhaust but it ended up being the spring isolator in the right rear, for some reason it didnt even have one??

Lets just say my shocks have lived a long life and are probably on borrowed time. I'm looking to order the SLP takeoffs, but it says they don't include all hardware. I won't need anything other than just the shocks, would I?

Anyways, back to the problem. I also noticed when I sat in my passenger side to grab something and got out, the car creeked from the rear again.

So I'll be replacing all 4 shocks anyways since they're old and its cheap but I'm just wondering what else is causing these noises.
