If I could do it again I would get konis. Shocks have made the biggest diffrence on my car in terms of handling and overall ride. I have bilsteins with stock springs and a front 35mm swaybar with a stock 15mm rear which I think I may go to a 19mm. The rear feels a little lazy and I have understeer in tight corners but I love the 35mm front though and for normal driving is great.
The konis are adjustable and you can run lowring springs with them if you want.
