The fellows at Town Fair Tire who balanced my rims used the stick-on weights that are inside the rim.

My factory rims use clamp style weights but only on the back, none on the front.

        Same here.

Edit: Back of the rim, you don't see the weights.

Stick on weights are a little more tricky to work with than standard clamp on weights but they work just the same.

The stick-on weights also keep those ugly as sin clamp weights off the rims. Makes them look sooo much nicer.

stickon weights are good for some chrome rims so they dont leave marks on it

Yeah clamp on weights on the outside of nice chrome rims look like crap, not to mention discoloring the wheel where the weight was. Some aftermarket rims can only use stick on weights since there isn't even a lip to use a clamp on style weight.

As far as balancing goes. They both balance out the same. One isnt more balanced then the other method. Its just the fact of appearance. My ZR1's have rim flanges on both sides, but I chose to do the stick-on weights/hammer on weight method.I would reccomend using the sticky weights if possible, cause the hammer on kind can scratch of your clear coat, and also leave corrosion on the rim. BTW, I work at NAtional tire and battery, so i have to deal with this stuff alot. ;)
