• Why do my rear calipers say PBR on them?

Call me an idiot, but I just noticed my calipers say PBR, Made in Austrailia on the top of them. There's a patent number or something too. Now, if I'm not mistaken, isn't PBR a part of Baer or something. I know Baer has PBR calipers. Are all 98+ rear calipers PBRs? Someone please set me straight.

PBR is on my stock rear caliper too....must just be the company that makes them for GM or something like that.....

PBR does make the Vette calipers, but the F-body parts are not the same. There are some strengthening ribs that are smaller or missing on the F-body parts. This results in flexing, or caliper spread, that reduces effectiveness. There is also some info that the F-body parts may be made at different site than the C5 part. The general idea is the C5 caliper is more robust than the f-body pieces.
