• Eibach springs for V8 different than V6?

Are pro-kit eibach springs for a v8 much different than that for a v6 for 2002 yr model? I hvae a chance to get eibach springs really cheap but I think they might be for a v8. Tech base and Dominic's web site show spring rates to be the same for the front, v8 vs v6, and only slightly stiffer in the rear for the v8. Would this really make that much of a difference or should I just stick with getting springs set for the v6 only?

The V8 springs are different when it comes to Eibach, they have a different coil formation and a smaller soft spot up front. The V8 springs would probably work fine on a V6 since the weight up front isn't vastly different, but you'll need more shock to compensate if you're doing this for performance reasons.

I would stick to the V6 Eibachs as they're really all the spring rate you'll need. However if its one heck of a deal I'd surely get them, theyre not THAT much different and would work fine on a V6 .

Is 60 bucks a good deal? I hope so cause I got'em. Definitely V8 eibach springs for a 93-97 fbody though according to the part number on the springs. Still not seeing a difference in spring rate 93-00 for v8 according to your site or the tech base. I do notice that the drop that's listed at the Eibach web site, or is that your site again, is 1.5" as opposed to 1.25" for 93-97 vs 98-01 respectively. Hope this isn't an issue.

The drop was a bit more on the earlier models, but its really not that accurate. Some cars lower 1.5", others only 1", it really just depends on the run of the springs I guess

$60 is a hell of a deal and I suspect you'll like them. If you don't you can ebay them for more than you paid and put the stockers back on :D

If you'd like to take advantage of them give Sam Strano a call and order some revalved Bilstein shocks ($450? Lifetime guaranteed) to suit the springs... He does some awesome work.
