I just recently started getting this nasty "whining" noise when I turn my steering wheel. Checked the P/S fluid and it looks good. Could this problem be anything besided the P/S Pump?

I had this problem...THEN while doing a donut in a parking lot I shattered the shaft that connects the inside of the pump to the pulley. 80$ and 45minutes worth of work and VIOLA I had power steering again. The only thing youll need extra is a puller to get the pulley off the pump. GO to autozone and rent one. Its 40 bucks but they give it back when you return the puller. Theyll know what one you need.
