305/35/18 Drag Tires

im watching a pair of new Nitto drag radials on ebay..i usually run 265s but i may be able to get these cheap..is 305/35/18 good to run on the rear?..no rubbing or anything?

I would think thats fine. dont people run 305 like on the 11" wide torque thrust IIs?

im pretty sure linx had 315 and said he didnt have to do any rolling, id say your fine just on the back. 305's on the front your going to have some problems i think.

i seen a guy at the track with 335/xx/xx MT et drag ralials like mine good god those things where HUGE and they boged his 5500 rpm lanch you should have seen his face after the run [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img]

i dont really understand how they bog you down, too much tire? i dont get it. too much rotating mass or something? sorry for getting off topic.

yes with a 5 speed (auto to but not as noticable cause of the TC) if your tire are to much you bog if you lanch to low of RPM
