OE Suspension - how do I tell the differance?

So, I know that a firebird can come from the factory with standard suspension, or, what is it, Y87 performance suspension (the GM 1LE parts), right?

Were camaro's also sold with a possible suspension upgrade?

I ask because I have just bought a '99 camaro from a dealership; great car, and it appears to have all the options (T-Top, leather, power everything, monsoon sound), but I know next to nothing about suspensions, and the dealer usualy didn't sell sports cars (this was a one-off because I had asked him to keep an eye out for a good camaro at auction). So, yes... I figure that if the original owner splurged on the options, they may very well have gotten the suspension, so is there a way to check? I tried a search and didn't hit any answers, nor did the mod. encyclopedia mention it.

Only a few modified cars by specialty companies like SLP. Not likely for your car, they have badges.

The only suspension mod in Y87 is the V8 steering ratio.

Your suspension is almost certainly standard V6 stuff, unless the owner modified the car.
