You shouldn't have to, search my earlier posts here for install guides. One has an install without taking the a-arms apart.Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"

You remove the upper spindle cotter pin and bolt and it should come right off the upper A-arm. If you remove the front endlinks you can get more drop from the lower A-arm which makes it easier to get the shock in and out, although if you've got some age to the links they may twist off or require cutting to get off.
Once the spindle is disconnected from the upper A-arm you simply remove the bolts from the top of the shock tower (in the engine compartment) and it should drop right out. You may have to move the master cylinder out of the way to get to the ones on the driver's side, and the A/C lines kinda interfere with the ones on the passenger side. There are 2 bolts that hold the shock to the lower A-arm.1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips
