As the topic said, Bottom line, I am looking for new front rotors and pads, and I want the best, or damn close, and does any company make rear disk brake conversion kits or should I jsut go to a junk yard and get everything?
By the way, I have a 1996 Camaro, and someday, I want to stop on a dime ;)

squeeky like a mother and love to dust..
i'm so upset

agreed! They were supposed to give off alot less brake dust than stock (as stated in their ad), but turned out they gave off as much as raybestos pads...which is ALOT!
thanks fella, I really want low brake dust, to keep my wheels shinney jsut a bit longer Your info really helped becasue I had gotten a price on hawk pads, I think maybe I will check out Brembo, becasue I heard they are top of the line..
Also, what kind of rotors are the best, what make, and should I get cross drilled, slotted, or jsut regualr ol vented rotors?
Wilwood makes a 6-piston caliper setup for 93-97 f-body cars, and i think for everything you need, its about 1300.
oh yea, thats just for the front ones......haha.
from what i have seen, Baer has nice kits, and for like $500 you can get some 4-piston calipers, cryo-treated rotors, and pads and all the other **** like braided steel lines.
the best...or damn close...haha.....right now I am in need of rotors and pads, When it comes time that the calipers are ****ed up, I will get a good set of them too
Yes, Wilwood is good stuff too, but I thought their brakes were like drag racing only and stuff? My dad has some of their brakes for his 55 big window truck.
If you want cheap stuff, I got my rotors and pads for about $250 from fasttoys. The KVR cross drilled rotors with cadmium plating and carbon Fibre pads... I get no brake dust now.
I use to have dirty rims like 3 days after I'd clean them because my pads/rotors were so tore up, but now my rims stay clean for weeks :D
They don't stop nearly as good as a set of Brembo brakes would though... Brembo is the best. I think Brembo is on mercedes... ferarri... lambo...

Porsche, Lotus, Aston Martin.....and several race cars. But for the money Baer is among the best in the business. Baer also has a 6 piston caliper set up but it is much more expensive than $1300..

i like the brake pads i get from bennett auto supply.
i believe they are ceramix brake pads..
they only barely squeek in water.. and i get VERY VERY LITTLE brake dust
