  • Metal Shudder from rear during hard cornering

Went AutoX today, noticed a metal "shudder" coming from the rear during hard cornering.

    Any ideas?

What posi, what fluid, what gears, left and right turns?, crusing and/or wot and or half throttle, mileage, etc. Be more descriptive.

I wasn't able to document the experieince being that I was in the middle of a 50 second adrenalin rush, I was just hoping someone might be able to relate.

I actually hear the same sound from my buddy's 95 Z28 - except his is much louder and is much easier to reproduce around any corner. His Z still is running stock suspension.

Anyway, to try to be more descirptive -

It did not sound like it was coming from the rear end. Almost sounded like sheet metal banging around - but is best described as a metal shudder.

I believe this incident was in the middle of a hard left turn.

I have Zex-Torsen take out posi. It has whatever fluids that the respectable gear shop installed.
      I have 3:42 gear set.
I have yet to hear it cruising, and I think I may of heard it at the last autoX event as well. I was about 65% throttle.

Stock rear suspension minus 1LE rear bar.
