A whole bunch of camaro drivers at my SCCA autocrosses do that.
I don't think you would need it unless you were in the 24 hours of Le Mans.1999 red camaro v6 M5: with a turbo
13.52@107.99
No, seriously: Who Farted?
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/600086

I've lost my brakes once at an autocross from heat. Course had a lot of hard braking, runs were pretty close together, and it was 110* outside. If I was road racing, it would be even more important. I've also boiled my power steering fluid a couple times - I'm in the process of getting a cooler for it. Changed out the fluid last weekend, the old stuff looked like dirty chocolate milk.
For street driving or autocrossing in milder weather, it's not needed. For hard driving in hot weather or road racing, this is a good idea and fairly common to see.

Great, easy idea.
Zlexis do you read over at Ls1.com Autocross and Road Racing? The forum there is where the big boys hang out, and there've been some discussions as to the true cause of the PS boilover.
My name there is rbeas.

Sure... they are a good idea but pretty much useless unless you are having problems with brakes fading when they get really hot.
YOu woudl definitely notice it, I have never noticed it with my Hawk pads, did a couple times on my Autozone special ones...
And even then, was during some hardcore braking, Research park near UCF 2 AM on Dec. 23rd, long sweeping corners, with quick short stops.
Ran like 3-4 minutes full strong, brakign form 90-20, back to 90 back to 15. Wot in 4th, then slowing down to a turn that I cna squeeze off in 1st. I am talking braking tht made an autocross look like sissy crap. But very similar to Reoadraicng style braking.
Eventually I crumbled the front right pad, and the front left turned purpleish I decided some decent pads were in order.

Wicked: yeah, I'm keeping up with that. Lots of those guys talking about the aeration already have the cooler stock.
And also, if you see them complaining about the LS1 vs LT1 resivoir shapes, we have it best - since our ps pump is way at the bottom, our res nice and high with the connecting pump.
I don't think it was just thermal expansion - I lost a lot of fluid that day.Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"

I've read alot of your posts, and I think I've established an opinion about you... you're crazy
It would be scary to see what you would do in a z28
sorry for the hijack :D
