i have a chance to buy z06 rims from a guy at work, they are 245's in the front, which i know wont have a fitment problem, but he has 295's in the rear, which i dont want that wide on my camaro, he has them on his but he said he had ti cut out his bump stop or somthing like that. but my question is could i go with a smaller tire on that rim? would a 275 fit that rim? im not sure of the offset on the rim though. he has special edition ss camaro, but i have a 94 v6, would that make a differecne in the fitment? any help would be great, cause i can pick these up for 400 with tires, and they are in perfect shape, but i wanna be sure they are gonna work.
Honestly I dont think you would have a problem with 295's on the rear wheels.
I guess the rear wheels are 18 by 10.5. Since 275mm=10.8in you should be able to put them on if you want though.
I believe the only thing you have to do is jack the car under the pumpkin instead of either side when you want to take the wheels on/off. Otherwise you run into the problem he's talking about where the wheel contacts the bump stop when the suspension is at full drop.
Are these 17x8.5 / 18x9.5 wheel sizes? They must be with that 245 front tire. If that's the case, do like Silver suggested and put 275's on the rear when it comes time to replace tires. But I don't think the tire itself is the problem.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
