i know this is a definate NO to my question but is there any way to convert the rear suspension to the independent from say a new Vette. just curious how much modding would be needed.

yeah that was what i thought but i guessed that someone on this board would have tried to do it by now and maybe have some prices (ie its cheaper to buy a vette, or something like that) oh well i guess the only way ill find out is to eventually try it. :(2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

if you can weld and have the setup to work on it, it'll cost you the price of a rear end out of a wrecked vette, some time and a lot of beer.... to pay someone else to do it for you...... WOW!!\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra
-former F-body owner

I know the suspension you're talking about. It's the one that the guy in Bristol PA is selling for over $600. The Dana setup...right? That thing is awesome!! I thought about it myself, but you may need to modify the wheelwells of the f-body to make it fit. I would almost bet that the width is different, and that makes for some geometric fabricating  Too much for me to handle, but go for it if you have the means. It would be a very unique, and bada$$ setup if it's done properly.
