specs: 3.42 rear end; lsd; 3600 stall, 2.6 str, 97% efficient torque converter; 245/50/16 nitto's
dilemma: no traction. even if the nittos are nice and hot, i still spin pretty badly.
i had 2 150+ lb guys sit in the back seats while i had the nittos at the track. i still spun.
i dunno, i'm positive i don't have too much off-the-line torque, cause there are guys pulling 1.5x 60fts all the time. but i do know that my torque has gotten to the uncontrollable point, and i can't launch the car at the track without spinning OR pulling a 2.3+ 60ft with easing on the thing.
the whole reason to mod is to use the stuff you got at it's full potential, correct? well, then what can i do to contain the slipping to minimal or nill?
i've gotten a lot of "man your stall is too high" for far too long. if i'm gonna have the thing, i need to put some real numbers out on the playing field so you guys can realize my torque will surpass that of what you thought i was ever capable of.
i'm selling the nitto's and getting some slicks hopefully, cause i really don't think the nitto's will ever hook, they are actually showing no signs of hooking when i light them up at the track. also, some bmr tubular lca's should be here soon, and i don't think those will help traction, just wheel hop (which i also have), but i'm not sure. thx a lot guys, any suggestions are welcome.
btw--hope i got the right forum?
