• How hard is it to lower a 2001 camaro

I have a 2001 camaro Convert and I would like to lower it about 1 inch. How hard is it? And how much? And will it effect the cars handling?

Thanks,

buy the springs....Eibach Pro-Kit....I paid 250$...if you can install them yourself..go-ahead...I got mine installed though, it would take forever for me to do it since I have none of the proper tools and one 2 ton jack.....there is a "ghetto mod" as proclaimed by some where you take the rubber spacer out of the rear springs where they rest against the car, will lower the rear about 3/4-1 in. ;)

if you know what you're doing its not hard. i paid a friend to do it for me. the cost can vary depending on which brands you get and if you get everything you need. its recommended to get new shocks, adj. phr, and reloacation brackets along with the springs. for the adj phr and relocation brackets i'd get bmr. shocks you could get slp takeoff for 50, or you could spend a lot more on other brands.

i bought rksport springs before i knew that they came from other companies cheaper

i didnt do my research but i have a two inch drop and they are stiff as hell and i think i payed like 100 for install, i love them there not too low but they make the car look great. if you like to take corners really hard i would get lowering springs not removing spacers. and i hope everyone knows that cutting springs is BAD and unsafe.

The rear springs aren't too hard to install. The fronts are a pain.

Yeah, I went to RKS also, before I knew better.
But I wanted everything "right" before I let anyone see my new car. So I'm happy anyway.
They're just Eibach's with an RKS part# stuck on the box.
