Okay, I'm new here so if there are threads on this with helpful info please point me in the right direction. It would be much appreciated.
When turning at low speeds or not moving at all there is a loud click or pop. Happens turning either direction. Now I know my power steering pump leaks. I've been told that by the dealer. When I had them check out the noise they said low fluid causes miscealaneous noises. I check the fluid frequently when my fluid is full the noise usually isn't as loud but it never goes away. I think the dealer is full of it and just wants me to pay them the $600.00 they want to replace my pump so they can charge me more later when it doesn't stop the noise. Can anyone help?

my moms power steering rack has so much metal shavings in it, it would take hours to scoop it out. This is probably not your problem.
    Have you ever flushed it?
Its bad to hold the steering wheel all the way left, or all the way right, especially when not moving.
