I am going to Midas to get my brake pads done. It is 40 bucks more for the ceramic. is it worth it... Aren't ceramic one of the better pads?

I like ceramic pads more. But you say $40 more, so I guess it depends on how much you are paying all together before I would say if it's "worth it" or not.

But yeah, most likely you will be better off with them in the long run.

Brakes are one of the easiest maintenance chores to learn, aside from changing the oil. Midas and those places rake people over the coals on brake work. My suggestion would be to replace the pads yourself.

I have "ceramix" brand brakes on all 4 corners, and I will NEVER go back to conventional brake pads ever again!

yeah I usually do my own stuff. Brakes is one of those things I learned back in high school but kinda forgot.... I wish I felt confident to dot it myself but the ability to stop is important.. I'm thinkin I should replace the rotors as well.
