I cant get the dam bolts that hold the caliper on to the arm thing. I need to do a brake job and have my rotors truned. Any body have any ideas? I bascally stood ontop of the wrench and they wouldnt relase and iam going the right direction. Iam not light ether! Please help! Thanks!

Try using a pipe or something long to fit over the wrench for leverage. A breaker bar would be great if you had one.
Another tip I learned from a friend that did this for a living, if you dont have any of the things mentioned above, put the wrench on the caliper like you are doing, then get a wrench that looks like this....o----c , and put the circle part over teh handle of the wrench and it will look kind of funky but it will give you some added leverage as well.

Yea that would have been nice. But i got the screws out with the impact wrench i bought. Already had the compressor. But the screws had a crap load of lock tight on them. Any idea why Gm would use Blue lock tight on there screws? I mean these things where packed with it. And its only been fixed at GM places! Iam really the only owner. they use loctite because brakes are about as important as tires once ur moving, the most important thing is stopping. they dont want much room for error and it would look pretty bad when someone kills there self cause 1 little screw fell out of the caliper. just make sure its tight when ur done with the brake job. i dont really know why they used blue loctite<a href=\"http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/onoiocoko\" target=\"_blank\">http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/onoiocoko</a> <br />\"there are three kinds of people - those who can count and those who can\'t\"

It's all about just putting your wrench/ratchet on the bolt and just pushing or pulling on the bolt until it comes loose. At least that how I did mine.3.42 gears w/ LSD,<br />Headers, Cat delete, Loudmouth,<br />SLP intake, K&N, Whisper Lid, <br />EGR delete

Blue loctite will break free with a wrench, impact, breaker bar, etc. Red loctite will only come loose if you heat it.
I never use loctite on brakes, lug nuts, or anything like that for this reason. It is hard to get the bolts back off. Loctite should be used in more permenant situations only. (i.e. your not planning to take it back off) LOL.
Example....Sometimes the lugs will stick if you go to a tire shop. I had a screw in my tire and had to stop in at a tire shop to get a repair. (out of patches here at home and couldn't exactly drive to the store... LOL)
Well are 16x8 aluminum rims should be snugged by hand.... the dillholes tightened to high holly hell with an impact... same thing... I had to use a 1/2 inch 2ft breaker bar to get it off. Stupid tire store!

Tire stores will often do that unless you specifically request that they tighten by hand.
I see a _big_ difference between lugs, which are meant to be routinely removed, and caliper brake bolts, which are removed for repair or replacement of parts only. If GM thinks the caliper bolts should be locktited, that's what I'd do.
