Firehawk SZ 40 or kumho 712 ?

I have Kumho 711 245/50R16. They are great tires for the money.

I was looking at the sz50's (couldn't find 40's on tirerack.com) and the 712's. The sz50 is a little bit better tire, but costs a lot more than the kumho.

If you have money to burn, go with the firehawks. Otherwise, go with the kumho's and use the money you save on something else.

You all have them and like them because you were too cheap to buy the Firehawks. The Firehawk tires are the BEST tire you can buy for driving in the rain and in wet conditions for our cars.

I would go 255/50/16 Firehawks... you won't be dissappointed. [img]smile.gif[/img]

actually i thought the tread design on the 712s looked cool ..so ...haha...not to mention i have other mods that are not exactly "cheap"

besides...if i was that concerned about traction in wet weather id buy a regular all season tire or something...not an untra high performance tire

have you seen the rating for the GS-D3? they are the best tire in wet weather and dry waether (all around), snow = no no lol. .

I have 255 Firehawks, they rule and are decently priced. Plus they have the sweet curb rash guard that has saved me a few times downtown parking!

Yes those will fit... no real cons with the 255, it will be wider and will therefore look better then the 245. [img]smile.gif[/img]

They'll tell you 255 is too big but it's really the widest possible size for our stock rims.
