    are the stock springs in 93 different between v6 and v8? cause when i went to the auto parts store the told me they have the same ratios.
    and same part numbers

    Different. Click on Technical Database at the top of the page. Then click on Suspension. Then click on Stock GM F-body Springs, right underneath the chart.
    2000 Firebird convert, chameleon/tan, M5, Y87, TCS, BMR tower brace and panhard, KBDD sfcs, 245/50-16 GSCs

          It's a tough job. Some special tools are involved, and, if you mess up a little, it can be very difficult to get everything back together. If you haven't done a lot of work on cars, I'd leave it to a pro.

          Even if you do tackle removing the shock/spring assembly (not easy) I'd still have a pro swap the springs over. That part of the job is especially dangerous.

            It will be hell attempting this on a 93. Me and a few other guys did it on a 95 and it was NOT fun. Look forward to running into nothing but problems if you try it.
