  • Bullitt Rims

I was wondering if anyone has seen these rims. They are very similar to the Torque-Thrust II, but they are CHROME for the same price as a Polished Torque Thrust.

Sorry I do not have a direct link, but if you type in our bolt-pattern (5x4.75) you can see them @ http://www.discounttiredirect.com/

Does anyone have a set on their car? I want to know if they look good on the car.

If I get custom rims, I want a set with a deep "dish." I think that really makes a car look muscular.

Lastly, how much slower should I expect my car to be with a chrome rim apposed to a silver-painted. I know chrome-plating is a bit heavier, but a helluva lot easier to take care of.

    Thanks

So, how wide of a tire can be fitted to an 8.5" rim? Will they not look as good because it is more narrow that the torque thrust? I do not want my rims to look like they sit too far under the car, know what I mean?

I really like the torque thrust, I am just not excited about a how long it takes to make them look good. I LOVE the way they look on your car! You make me want rims sooooo bad!

BTW, could you tell a difference when in weight or acceleration when you switched from Chrome ZR-1's to Polished? I mean did chrome slow you down?

I mean, I do not drive the car very often, maybe once or twice a week. Pretty much, I wash it every time I drive it. I always have it looking as good as it can when I drive it, considering I hardly drive it at all. I would want my rims a "bling blinging" every time I took it out the garage.

Right now it just sits in the garage and probably will stay there until March or April. She has never seen snow and God-willing, NEVER will.

I guess I should just break down and buy Torque Thrusts. Mean98, what do you think of 17x9.5's all the way around. Would it look okay? Would it seem to skinny or that the rims sit too far underneath the car in the back?

My biggest thing is that I do not want to spend almost $2,000 on rims and my car look just okay. Your car rocks and I believe that the money you spent was well worth it. I would want the same.

All in all, I want my rims to make my car look aggressive as hell. Some rims just make a car look so mean, just sitting there. That is what I want. Not that I care what people think, but I want people to say, "d*mn, that car looks mean as hell, especially with those wheels."

Perfect example, my uncle has a '93 corvette 40th ann. He put rims on it and spent $2200. I think they look like sh*t.

Apologies now go to the moderators for my sailor mouth. Also, to eveyone else for this long *** post.

        Thanks for any input

i got my torque thrustIIs from sears for $1287. installed 17x11s rear and 17x9.5s front i already had tires i don't know what the 9.5s would look like on the back.. i just wanted to go all out did,nt want to take a chance on not filling up the fender wells .. as for polishing n ot that bad yet they are still new.. i had my wife drive my car and i followed her around just to see what they looked like going down the rode they are wicked..i think they look the best when the car is rolling..so if you are going to buy wheels get what you want the first time .... http://www.kellydrown.com/CancerSucks/crw_2953.asp my inspiration .... as far as slowing the car down i could'nt tell a difference

What size are your tires front and back? I am probably going to go with the set-up you have.

The only reason I have not gone with TTII's is b/c I got a good buddy that is trying to talk me out of getting them.

Of course, he likes the import scene. I am old school.

Is there anything else I need to know about your set-up, for example, those rear wheels fit back there O.K.?

I got a quote from my local tire dealer a little while ago on TTII's, 17x9.5's all the way around.

It was c. $1675 including new tires, mounting, balancing and warranty. I just have not made a move yet. I think I will switch to 17x11's in the back.

AZ3.8, are you saying that the rear wheels on that 302 SS are 17x9.5's? I am not sure what your post is referring to.

I will probably go with the TTII's. They are the best looking rim I have found for our cars. What a classic look!

If anyone disagrees with my previous statement, please link me to something you like. I am open for suggestions.

                  BTW, that SS is beautiful.

Hey I was just saying that TTIIs are awesome looking wheels. They aren't 17X9.5s in the back but it was jsut an example of how awesome your car will look with them on it. Get em!!!!
I think anyone who sees that picture can't deny that they are awesome looking.
