my rotors have definitely gone to ****... my steering wheel shakes when i brake from 55mph, and at about 10mph, it is really jerky, lurching forwards.

do i have to replace front and rear rotors/pads?

what rotors/pads have people had good experience with, and how much should i expect to pay total?

well you don't have to replacing anything you can just get them turned at a shop, or do it yourself if you have access to a school's shop, but the down side of this is that they will be weaker and prown to being warped again. I have heard very good things about www.rotorpros.com they are inexpensive their rotors look and perform great and you can chose from any option you could want.

As for pads i like hawk pads but they are pricey for pads, just about any ceramic silent pad will be an improvement but you probably don't even need to replace them. since your going to replace your rotors you might as well.

Torque wrench, proper cleaning of rotors during install, and proper bedding right after. Cheap rotor blanks work just as well as anything else.

but if you plan on putting rims on a good pair of slotted and dilled/dimpled rotors will look better

I have the same problem. Just got slotted and dimpled rotors with pads for all four wheels. Only $300 shipped.
