I was going to change out my brake pads today but I ran into a problem. A very Frustrating problem. I stripped one of the lug nuts on my wheel and now I can't get it off. Do you guys know any ways to remove the nut without having me to bring my car to sears so they can use air tools on it?? Any type of socket? Thanks for the help!!
I was about to say I bet that hurt Anyway try some kind of penetrating oil, such as WD-40 or something. If you do get it off you will probably have to put a new wheel stud and lug nut on. :( Try and find a long piece of pipe you can fit over the end of your lug nut wrench for leverage

Striped the outside where the wrench/socket grips? Hmm, my mom has these weard little rubber pad things that we use to open bottles and things. It just grips what ever its on and wont slip. Maybe try something like that? Stick it in a socket and then put the socket over the Nut?

If that doesn't work. Sacrifice a socket and find
a way to weld that socket to the stripped lug

No no, don't waste your time and money doing that, just simply take a hammer, and smack a slightly smaller socket onto the stript out one. then take it off nice and slow. WD-40 won't hurt though...
