If it helps, I did the front sway bar this weekend using ramps and felt jack stands would have been easier. Ran into a slight issue removing the endlinks because the ramps were in the way, had to use the jack to bump the car up an inch or 2 to get the endlinks out.

BTW, the bolts were 1/2 inch not 13mm like I expected. Rounded one of the bolts on the bushing before I figured it out.

interesting, i wonder why BMRs write up shows using ramps and not a jack...hmmmmmmm does it matter of the suspension is loaded or not?

The middle part of the endlink will stick trying to get it out if the suspension is loaded (least it did for me) but I doubt there is some technical reason not to do it with jack stands.

Was a pretty easy install, if I hadn't misplaced my breaker bar it would have only taken 30 minutes.

Went with the 1LE 32mm front and the poly endlinks/bushings from Thunder Racing, rear is still the stock 17mm. Seems to corner better, little less body roll but it seems to be more prone to fishtailing. I only drive the car every month or 2 though so this could all be my imagination.

FYI the bolts on the bushings were completely frozen for me, I had to use a 2 foot breaker and put all my weight into it to get them loose.

well i installed both of them in about an hour. (breaks included) fun stuff, not incredibly hard and i didnt run into many problems... im afraid that the endlinks might not have been tightened enough though, and i dont have a torque wrench to tighten them down to specs... so im kinda worried...

i think that ill just buy one today and then tonight ill jack it up into the air and illtighten them down to specs... that will make me feel better... i didnt have loctite either :( oh well im sure itll be fine at least for one day

I did mine with ramps, worked perfectly and effortlessly.

                  I'd use jack stands...

Its alot easier to line up and get them torqued down right when the wheels are off.

Jack it up really high on the K-member, and put the jacks under the lower control arms and bring it down slowly.

Depending on your jack may not be able to jack it high enough.
