  • Will 1LE lca's keep my 315's from hitting my fenders???

I have 11" wide rims on the rear w/ 315's. The car is lowered and when i hit potholes, the tires hit the fender.

i still dont quite know what lca's do, but i ordered them anyway b/c of crazy wheel hop.

SLP makes a product to keep your wheels from hitting the wheel wells...can't remember the name of them tho. Look in their suspension stuff for our cars and I'm sure you'll find them

Jounce bumper spacers. Cheap from SLP, cheaper if you make your own.

the lca's won't keep your wheels from hitting your fenders. they will reduce your wheels hop, but not hitting. if you got adj lac's, your wheels would only adjust front to back, centering them in the fender. an adj phr will allow you to adjust your wheels left to right allowing clearence for the wheels so they won't hit. i've read on a lot of sites that camaros have a smaller wheel well than firebirds and they require more tweeking. start off w/ the adj phr. if it still hits you may need to bang in the wheels wells w/ a hammer and possibly roll the fender lip too. i also read something about moving the bumpstops b/c they rub w/ 11's. i'll see if i can dig up the website. here ya go.

well, if they're hitting, you'll see bare areas where they're hitting. if it's mroe on one side or the other, then get an adj. phr to re-center the rear end. if it's still doing it, then bang in the area where it's rubbing, or roll out the fender if it's rubbing there. lca's MIGHT help keep them from rubbing during wheel hop, but that's it. they won't help the pothole situation.
