When I bought the car the owner had black painted metal disks on the innerside of the rims. You couldn't really tell unless you were close. I took them off though. If you don't want dust, get ceramic pads. They are basically dust free.
Ceramic pads squeak and don't stop the car very well. I found this out the hard way. You probably won't be able to see dust shields through salad shooters, but it's just another noise-maker. You could always wash your car every hundred miles.

God I love this board!
I'm going to order a cheap set from JC Whitney just to see how they look. I'll post some pics IF MY FREAKIN CAMERA EVER GETS HERE.
I ordered a Sony DSC-F707 LAST WEEK and it's still not here. Oh well.

I put some rain x window wax on one spot on my wheel and left the rest plain. The place with rain x on it has less dirt and brake dust than the rest. Coincidince?

Thanks! I have the stock salad shooters, I can't tell if they're painted or just aluminum. I assume they're just bare. (Making them a HUGE B1TCH to clean)
I'll try the wax thing... I need to have the brakes looked at, maybe I'll get some ceramic pads... who knows.

I heard that spraying pam (not spam) cooking spray on them makes the dust not stick to it. Try it on a little part and see what happens. What I dont get is, if Pam is non-stick spray, how the hell does it stick to the pan?!
Ahh the joys of having brake-dust-colored-rims. I bought the OZ superleggeras a few months ago and when they start to get brake dust on them, the grey color just seems to get a little less shiny. You can't really tell as long as they're uniformly dirty and you don't make a clean spot. Check 'em out here:
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
