my brake pads are almost gone and i want to replace them with Ceramix pads from Napa. my stock rotors look like they are in good shape and are not warped. i dont really want to spend money on new rotors if i dont have to because i want to spend my mod money on going fast not slowing down. is it possible to refinish my rotors myself just to be safe?
thanks
You can take the rotors somewhere to have them resurfaced if they are thick enough. Once the resurface them they have to be above the minium thickness listed on the rotor itself. As far as doing it yourself unless you have a brake lathe no. If you are not looking to upgrade you rotors to slotted or drilled you could get a set of stock replacment from napa for not much more then its going to cost you to resurface them.
Also brakes are not something to go cheap on. I would rather speed up slow and be able to stop fast the speed up fast and not be able to stop.
