• Springs vs. Coil Overs?

Have seen both mentioned, and have heard good things of both, but I'm not sure what I'd need. Was underneath my 02 replacing the swaybars, and I noticed that in the front, the springs are wrapped around the shock (is that where the "coil over" comes in?). But in the rear, the springs are totally separate from the shocks. I'd like to get a setup that will lower the ride, but works well together. Definitely want the Eibach Pro Kit, but then what? Wicked puzzled.

Coilovers allow you to adjust your ride height. They're alot more expensive.
