Questions on tires...

Since I am such a bright lightbulb and I wrecked my car and took out the alignment I have to replace my tires. I was looking at these tires on tirerack.com and was wondering if anyone had any input or knowledge about 215/60HR16 Yokohama Avid H4 tires.

the h4 is a nice tire some people complain they theyre a little noisy. I believe tirerack.com has a write up on them you might want to check that out. I was looking into these tire but decided to go with bfg kdws's, theyre more expensive but a nicer tire. For the price the yokohamas are really nice tires.

At one time I had a pair of Bridgestone Potenzas and a pair of Yokohamas on my car. About 50k miles later Yokohamas were worn out all the way to the metal, while the Bridgestones still had some thread left; otherwise I have no complaints about Yokohamas.

your putting 215's on a firebird? they come stock with 235's dont they? that is the width you know that right?

or 235/55's
you can fit 245's on the stock rims.

I have 245x45x16s on stock rims ( Bridgestone Potenzas ) and before I had Yokohama S306 255x55x16 on stock rims and Toyo proxies 245x45x16 ... =/ Dont know who lied to him about sizes. I like the Bridgestons better than all of them, best grip and so far best tread life.

Thanks for the input everyone. I thought about the size issue and decided to go to the 235/55 size. When I changed sizes I had to get a different model tire, I went ahead and ordered the Sumitomo SRIXON4 tires. A friend of mine has sumotumos and he thinks they are great, so I hope I find the same results.

T. You got any pics of the 245/45/16's on the car? I know the side wall is less than a 245/50/16. I'd be curious to see what it looks like.
