Buying New Tires - Plese vote in here !!!!!

I know this is an old topic but when you are about to spend around $700.00 on something you always want to have as much input as possible. Now, with that said ....

I'm planing on buying new tires (I have the stock chrome wheels) this coming monday and after doing some research these are my 4 options (Please notice the size of the tires).Which one should I buy?
1. Yokohama Avid V4S (255/50VR16) High Performance All-Season.
2. Yokohama Avid V4S (245/50VR16) High Performance All-Season
3. Yokohama AVS dB S2 (245/50WR16) Ultra High Performance All-Season
4. BFGoodrich Traction T/A V (245/50VR16) High Performance All-Season

I would like to buy the Yoko's 255/50VR16 but I'm not sure how they will look in my car plus there is not much to choose from for that size.
If you have any suggestions please feel free to post it here.
Sorry, but Kumhos are definetely out of question. With the way I drive (fast and furious style) I don't think they'll last me at all.

#3 looks good for wet traction, but if you want my opinion, I'd go with the BF Goodrich tires. Although I've never owned Yokohama's, I did infact own BF Goodrich tires once on an older TransAm, and they were great tires!

BF's. Why an all season tire tho, it doesn't snow much in cali right?

It doesn't snow at all, unless you are up in the mountains (where my car never goes). It rains though (not too much). Should I go with a Summer Tire?

yeah go with a summer tire if it never snows. They are still good for wet and dry, they just have a more agressive tread pattern and normaly grip better.

I still can't decide what to buy. I din't think that buying tires would be this hard. I need to decide something soon because the tires in my car have no tread at all, so keep posting if you have any suggestion.
Is anybody running 255's on their stock wheels? Does it look good?

IF you want a good all around tire, and there is a place that sells Fulda tires.. .I would def. reccomend those.. They are a German Goodyear F1, I ran these when i had 16's and I couldnt complain.. They are a little softer than most tires, but I put like 15,000 miles on them with at least 5 passes at the track and still had plenty of tread, I also ran these one time with Nitrous. after a decent burnout i was able to dead hook to a 13.58 w/ a 2.0 60' Good in the rain and even better in the snow if you get it out there.. just a thought, I paid $400 even installed. they are about $80 a tire

I have the BFG's got about 10k miles on them by now, so far so good, they have gotten a little louder since I bought them but with all the stuff I have done to my suspension that's not suprising.
I have yet to have hydroplaning problems and it rains here ALOT. No snow though. They also grip pretty good in the dry, where as I used to have to worry about my rear end snapping loose under hard cornering the car now just goes where I put it. Surely there are stickier tires out there but I don't really put my car on the track and these tires have been great thus far. For the money I give em a big thumbs up. Of course it helped that I didn't have to worry about shipping , just drove over to the Tire rack warehouse in shreveport and picked em up.
My god that place has alot of tires.

Well, today is the day. I ordering my tires after work, and so far I'm down to these two choices. Both are Ultra High Performance Summer tires.

1. BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW Size: 245/50YR16
2. Bridgestone Potenza RE750 Size: 245/50WR16


I wanted to buy 255's but since they don't have much to choose from in that size I'll stick to 245's.

I love these tires, I got mine about 12,000 they are holding up pretty good. And I drive on them pretty hard. Good wet traction, excellent dry traction.
