  • Sway Bar Squeak?

I have been hunting down a squeak for the longest time, I think I have found what is squeaking, but I don't know enough about suspention to know how to fix it properly. During hard left hand turns I THINK my rear right kinda hops and I get a loud sqeak that sounds like, dateeek...dataeek...dat......dah.
And I get a smaller squeak on the right hand turns, expecially if there is a small lip like a driveway or a change in pavement.

My first idea was the spare and jack, so I removed it, it still sqeaks. So I figured it was something in the suspention. I tryed rocking the car, and that was silent, so I crawled up under it and started yanking on different parts. If I pull back on the sway bar on the right side, I get the same sounding squeak, If I pull on the left side, I don't get a squeak.

After examining the rubber bushings, they look pretty dry with tiny cracks. So I figure this is the problem. So how do I fix it.

I plann on saving for the 1LE Sway bar kit, BMR SFC, and STB from LMperformance with all poly bushings, and I figure that would get rid of the squeak but, what can I do in the mean time.

spray some WD-40. Should last a week ;) then reapply. Silicone spray don't work as well. Try spraying it on the right bushing and let it soak a bit and see if thats where it is coming from.

Or, you can just re-grease the bushing and that should fix it. Unless u want a new bushing, but I think the grease should fix it.
