  • Is it my rotors or the brakes?

I've noticed that during hard braking my car has started to shake rather bad. I don't know if it's because the rotors need to be turned or if I got a pair of faulty pads. I had the pads replaced about 2000 miles ago. Any ideas?

I'm 99.9% sure that it's your rotors. Have them turned and I bet it will stop as smooth as a babys butt :D

I had the same problem about 25K miles ago and haven't had any vibration sense.... believe me it felt like my whole car was going to fall apart!

I just fixed that saaaaaaame problem this last weekend. I replaced the pads and machined the rotors, but I'm willing to bet it's just the rotors in your case. Good luck.
