I bought my 01 Firebird in September 01 with nice, shiney factory chrome rims, and by February (about 2,500 miles) they were already rusting/pitting. I've taken it back to the dealership to show them, but they're telling me it's my fault, that I should have been washing them every time I drive it in bad weather.
I'm arguing with them about this because I live in Northern Illinois, for God's sake, we have bad weather (snow, salt, sand) for a third of the year! Besides, they never told me I needed to do anything special to the rims when I bought it so how was I supposed to know?
I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, or maybe I just got a set of bad rims?
Thanks!
