hmm.. well according to the tech database you have a little softer springs than I do but bigger rear sway bar so I would guess you might be pushing it without stiffening up your springs some..
so far I just have the 32mm on my car (1LE springs sitting in garage waiting on me to be able to afford bilsteins) and there is a transition point where you can tell the sway bar takes over for the spring.. and yes I have gotten sideways on dry pavement thanks to really pushing the car hard..
anyway I would say you would proably want to upgrade to a stiffer spring just because yours are so soft.. and with the age of your springs I'm sure they are a little softer than they were when they were new..
see you want a smooth transition as you push your car into a corner where the load is being transferred to the sway bar, if you have soft springs and a stiff sway bar that transition could be more sudden than you are expecting and make the rear end snap loose.. this would be bad..-Brad

Why not get the z28 t/o shocks/springs and sway bars from SLP? Then you'll have the stock Z28 susupension with improved handling and road feel with an investment of about $120 - $150 (not 100% sure on price)
BTW this lowers the car a very small amount like 1/4" i've been told...however most people say it is not noticeable..plus with the stiffer springs you don't bottom out as much.

yeah you can go with either regular V8 springs or 1LE springs these will not lower your car auctually should raise the nose a bit but not much..
the suggestion of getting the v8 takeoffs is a cheap way for you to balance your suspension if you want to go with those big bars..-Brad
