  • Do Hawk brake pads need slotted or cross-drilled rotors?

Do the hawk pads you buy at www.thunderracing.com need to be on slotted or cross-drilled rotors.

I don't know if they create lots of heat or gases.

I didn't need slotted rotors when I had the Hawks pads on my car. They performed just fine on my stock rotors.

        Just to confirm hockeyman:

I also run Hawk HPS on my car w/ stock rotors. Work a ton better than OEM pads.

Only if you want to look like someone who wasted money on rotors. Here I go sparking the age old debate that, for our, current, new, today cars, cross-drilled and / or slotted is a waste.
