Yeaa, stock the 97 3.8 without y87 cames with 225/65/16...well, i upgraded to 235/55/16, fit just fine, and of course they will, look at the y87, question is, Will 245s fit with the stock suspension without rubbing anywhere?

I'm currently using firestone firehawks ss20's (I think?) 245/50/16's and they are all you could ever want from a tire.
