I believe it's actually De Carbon. Either way, I'd say those are the stock shocks.

WTF? DeCarbon are the STOCK STOCK STOCK shocks, no questions asked. Stock on V6's and V8's, also sometimes called Delphi, but most definitely stock ones.

So, the V8 takeoffs that I've seen are no better than what we currently have stock on our 6's, or are they valved differently, maybe a bit more dampened?

V8 shocks are supposedly a little stiffer. Though I honestly don't know anyone who has made the switch just to V8 shocks (i.e. SLP takeoffs) without doing the V8 springs as well, or when the v6 stock shocks weren't worn out from many many k-miles.

theres an SLP kit on some site, i forgot which, but it uses Bilstien shocks and what not., for 600 it seems to be a good deal. sway bars, springs, struts/shocks, ect..
