  • whoosh whoosh whooosh noise

a while back i smacked a pot hole, it was of decent size, gave me a nice jerk, ever since (and im not sure if it was REALLY the pot hole that caused this or just similar time period), i have noticed a whoosh whoosh noise..

    so
i figured, eh, maybe i bent a rim or bruised a tire or maybe the tire is just low on pressure, i asked the tire dudes at discount what they though, he was like "well its probably just the tire wearing down and getting noisy" i was like ok...
so i sell the c5s and tires and i got brand new c6s and tires, whoosh whoosh still there... i am now thinking its either alignment or maybe warped rotors...................... the noise increases frequency with my cars speed, so its obviously something that rotates... i should probably get alignment but, i want to change out my brakes anyways.
any ideas what the whoosh whoosh noise is? steering wheel vibrates a bit sometimes when stopping and car slows down unevenly its like , slOWwwwWOwwwwwWOwwwwwwwwWOwwwwwwwwwWowww...stop if u can picture that, its like not a smooth SLOWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..... hard to explain in words.. anyways

Your rotors are warped, so it feels like you are kinda pumping the brake as you stop. Not sure on your whooshing noise...try driving next to a wall and hearing it echo back.

oh man i had the same problem, when i stoped or slow down the steering wheel would vibrate. My father said it could be the rotors so i jumped on that and fixed it and sure enough it was. so that could also be your problem.

As for the vibration, warped rotors.
