So I bought my car with 3 winston and 1 ****ty tire (I forgot the brand). The mismatched tire's sidewalls cracked so I had it replaces with a practically new Dayton HR. I have 245/50 all around and my question is should I get 4 brand new tires or would I be okay just getting 3 more Dayton HR's. The one Dayton I have has about 8,000 miles on it but it has a lot of tread left.
If I should just get 4 new tires, handeling and road noise is very important to me. Thanks for your help
Well, if you want low road noise and great handling in dry and wet, I'd recommend the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW's. I have the 245/50ZR-16's all the way around, and compared to my last set of tires, they're quiet. As for handling, I've yet to have them break traction, in either tight turns or fast, sweeping turns. I'd also suggest getting 4 new ones, or at the very least, make sure you have two new matched tires that rotate from front to back as a pair during tire rotations.
