about the panties thing, that just gets said commonly around here, so i guess you could call it a colloquialism? i didn't mean anything by it either way :D
yeah.... give it a few weeks. in the meantime, get your girlfriend in the passenger seat and go riding.... mine tickled my @ss like crazy with the vibration coming up through it.... wife LOVED it. now take advantage of the situation, if you know what i mean.!!

Aside from giving it time to break in, you might want to try adding some height to it. The poly mounts are about a 1/2 inch shorter than the stock ones. What I did when I put mine in was drill a hole for the bolts through some small plates of metal (roughly credit card sized) until I had a stack that was 1/2 inch. I put them between the bottom of the mount and it restored it to the proper height which cut some of the vibration out. I've had mine for a year now and it still vibrates enough that passengers notice it, but you get used to it. And ellik's got a point, I've had several girls comment on how my "vibrates under the seat, but not in a bad way".
Psykopig16: well the car will run with a broken crank..<br />RevLimit478: yeah, it\'ll run like a fat kid in summer
Grrrr..... i ordered mine... and i got it, and i was installing it today allong with my spec stage II... and IT WAS THE WRONG FRIGGIN MOUNT. One thankyou goes to thunder for sending the WRONG ONE. as far as vibration goes, i'd say deal with it for a while, if u still dont like it in about a month, go lookin for another.
In my 95 3.4 I had a poly mount instaled on mine one I turned the car on it nearly vibrated me out of the car. I found it quite annoying, so I put a new rubber mount in. I guess its a personal preference.
Well last night i took another look at the mount and mine also dropped the transmision about a full half inch.... WTF. Not even the same size as stock.
Changing the angle of my drivetrain was not part of the plan. Misalignments in any power transmission is bad ju ju.
I took everything back off and added shims to the mount to put everything back at the original hieght.
Also, I added to 3/32 60 DURO rubber softening pads where the crossmember attaches to the car.
Results ..... still vibrates but now tolerable.
I think that the misaligmnet caused by the polymount dropping my transmission 1/2" was the main culprit of the violent vibrations and shaking i was getting after installing the poly mount.
Beleive me it was bad enough before to shake the dash.....
I am still not happy with the sound of the mount but it has become not so bad after my ghetto fix to correct the problems caused by this part. If it quiets down more over the next couple of weeks as everyone says it will then I will keep it.
There is a positive side to the ploy mount. Damn this mount really tightened things up. I use to get a sh*t load of hop and bang when i would nail it...... All gone. Also, the trans would drop down for a second when going over dips with speed.....all gone. Now the trans sits solid as a rock.
yeah, the only thing I dont like about mine is the ghetto shim system that I had to rig up. at some point Im going to cut an aluminum block to fit between mount and the tranny and get longer studs for it.

oah one other thing dude, the poly mount is going to be 1/2 inch shorter than the stock, to get rid of some of your vibration you will need to raise the tranny back up that 1/2 inch, this will eliminate some of the vibration that comes when moving, it won't however change the vibration at idle.

Well hindsight and all i prob. should have went with the 1le.... to be honest i didn't even consider it. Oh well.... at least the pol didn't cost like 50 bucks or something.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
