  • popping from front left brake

my front left brake pads are making a popping sound only once when going forward and once while reversing. the guy that did my brakes said it was because the pads were hitting the antirattle clips. only its getting worse should i get new clips or what.

Could be a loose or missing caliper bolt, play in the brake pads because of the shims, or something else I have yet to learn.
If it was a shop that installed the brakes, bring it back and let them know what's going on. If it was a friend, then take it to a shop and ask what's going on. Don't mess around with your brakes!
A popping sound could be alot of things, especially a loose caliper. And because you say it's getting worse, get it fixed.
