  • need help NOW...

Ok its ****ing after midnight, I need to get done, I got home from work about 10, and decided to put my LCA's in tonight...So I got the drivers side on with no problem, BUT the ****ing passenger side is being a *****...

I can get one end of the LCA on but then the other end is about 1/4 of an inch off and I can't get the god damn bolt in...I try pushing on the rearend and I can get the holes pretty close to lining up but then I have noone to stick the bolt in It is really pissing me off, I don't care about not getting any sleep tonight but I need my car to drive to work tomorrow...

Is there some way that my sleep deprived *** is not thinking of to get the rearend to go a little further back?

Please god somebody help me so I can go to ****ing bed.

I hope somebody is still up!!!

Try using a smaller diameter bolt to help pry the lca into place so that you can hold it for the larger bolt to be put in.

Try jacking up the rear end to see if that helps at all?

use your legs as leverage against the rear to help line up the lca, worked on my truck a few times. The Lca's can be a ***** to install.

I've tried both of those lol.

The more load I put on the rearend the worse it gets.

the rearend is towards the car just a bit, I need to pust it back towards the rear of the car to get the holes close to lining up.

loosen the other end for a little play and then try to force it into place and then tighten everything.

the other end hasn't been tightened up yet, because you're not supposed to tighten them until you get them set and get full load on the rear end...I appreciate your help, just keep throwin things out, theres bound to be something I haven't tried yet.

try a bottle jack from the body somewhere to the axle tube to force it carefully, hard to do but it should work, jacks are great for many things, carefull while under the car.

is the car jacked up by the axle or the frame, if by the frame or axle try changing hights to add or remove pressure. from the axle.

FOr the bottle jack, instead of lifting the car. place the base of the jack against a somewhat sturdy framrail or floor to add back pressue to the axle, to move the axle back that 1/4 inch, watch your fingers.
