I have a 97 firebird and blew a shock carry too many 2 x 4's. Well I went to Sears since they had free installation on shocks. They put in Monroe sensatrac shocks and since then the ride has been really stiff and bouncy. It's gotten to the point where it's not enjoyable driving my car. I'm not looking for high performance shocks just something that would give me a comfortable ride. I can't even push down on the rear end. There is no give. Could it be a bad installation or bad shocks? Any suggestions on what to do or a different brand of shock?
What up buddy where in chicago are you? im right out in the northwest subs.
did there replace both sides? or just one? it could be that its f-in cold out and the shocks are new that they haven't quite broken in yet. but on the other hand they could be the wrong shocks but that wouldnt make sense. try checking out new ones.

I'm in the south subs. They did replace both shocks and I had it done back in the spring. I thought the same thing that they needed to be broke in. I did take off one of the rear wheels and looked at the part number on the shock and called sears and it matched up with what the book said. I also went on monroe's website and it showed the same part number. I also emailed monroe 2 times now asking why this is happening and have yet to hear back from them.
