Slotted or cross-drilled rotors do nothing for performance on a street car. Do a search, this has been discussed in-depth before. If you like "the look" then get them.

Slotted rotors are designed to scrape the pad to clean it and thereby improve braking. At track speeds this is fine, on the street all it does is wear out pads.
If you don't believe me, try the Baer brakes site:

no no no... there is a big difference between aftermarket rotors and factory. I've replaced my factory rotors 3 times... 3 fricken times! either they aren't fixing them, or they just suck. I suppose that aftermarket don't warp as bad as factory right? I'm gonna keep replacing them until warranty runs out, then I'll find out for myself I guess.2002 Silver Metallic A4 Firebird - All Options

Sounds like you got it new. Lemon law? 3 strikes, you get a new car. There might be something wrong with your brakes, not just rotors. I'm at 100K on the stock ones.

I do agree with this. I have always recommended Baer rotor BLANKS, not cross-drilled or slotted.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

Not sure, its a brand new 2002 firebird... I got it new.. so no lemon? I don't know, don't really mind it too much, just as long as they keep replacing it.2002 Silver Metallic A4 Firebird - All Options

Well I'm just saying if you bought it new and something keeps breaking then you can request a new car. I'm just saying "IF" you want a new car you can probably get one.
Robert, where do you buy Baer blanks? How much are they?
