ok i have 17x9 rims with 275/40/17's on my 99 camaro and i want to lower it. do you think the tires will rus on the fenders or anything else? How far do you think i can drop it? thanks for the help.

You could drop that car a good 1.5" and be safe, I hear 2" is possible but I wouldn't push it.

I think a 1" drop on our cars with 17" wheels looks *normal* while anything more definetly looks *lowered*

Remember, P275/40R17s are the same HEIGHT as a P245/50R16 overall, so you will have no problems rubbing that way [img]smile.gif[/img]

I put the H&R spring set on my ride, it was suppose to be a 1.75 front drop and a 1.50 rear drop but the front settled at 2.0 inchs the rear stayed the same. My car looks low but I want it lower. so coilovers are the next upgrade.
