well i was bleeding my brakes and kind of just inspecting them and i noticed that on my drums that only one side of the piston is pushing out and the other just sits there but it looks like it should move??? some one fill me in cause if i have drum stuff going bad then away they go!!

They are called Wheel Cylinders. Yes, they go bad but are relatively cheap to buy. Normally the rubber seal dry-rotts and they start leaking brake fluid. Your case sounds like the piston became rusted inside of the small cylinder and stopped moving. Call autozone, they have them for $9.99 each, part #30118.

Yes they do self adjust when you back up, but it takes them a long time to get them to where they will brake properly if you don't pre-adjust them first.
*when everything is apart, spray the balls out of all the brake hardware and shoes with brake cleaner*
When you get the new wheel cylinders in, put everything back together and adjust the brake shoes to where the drums slightly rub as you turn the hub. From there, they will re-adjust themselves to proper specs more quickly.
To eliminate all of this mass-confusion, go to disk brakes. They are 10x's better!
thanks for all the help hockeyman and for now ill just spend 20 bucks and replace the wheel cylinders and have some decent braking but in any event thanks for your help and quick responce too
