  • Swaybars and strut tower brace

I already put lowering springs, shocks, and wider rims/tires on my car to improve its handling. Now I would like to finish the basic suspension upgrades by adding front/rear swaybars and a strut tower brace. My question is what sizes should I get for a street application. I probably wont be autocrossing, and I will occasionally drag race if that makes any difference. Also where would be the best (cheapest) place to find good quality parts that will make a noticable difference? Thanks.

Search....swaybars has been discussed a lot. If you have replaced springs and shocks the 1LE swaybars will probably work for you. Thats what I have and I have upgraded my entire suspension minus A-arms. You may want to get some LCAs' and an adjustable panhard bar so that you can adjust your rear end....lowering your car will cause it to shift right a little. These will help with wheel hop and your cornering ability.

Either a 32/21 or 32/19 GM bar setup should be plenty with HDs and lowering springs.

Sub frame connectors will stiffen you up a little too so look into a set of those.

BMR has nice sway bars for a reasonable price. My boyfriend has them on his 99 Z and they work nicely. Also, as someone else said, Sub Frames would make a nice improvement on stiffening up the car. They make a huge difference in my opinion.
